Over the past two weeks, Namita Nath, upGrad GSP’s Institution Partnerships Manager in the UK & Europe, embarked on a comprehensive UK university tour, meeting with institutional partners across Scotland, England and Wales.
Through this tour, upGrad GSP reinforced its commitment to strengthening partnerships with leading UK institutions, expanding high-quality pathways for international students and equipping recruitment partners with the insights they need to confidently guide learners to trusted destinations.
Engaging with partners across the UK
The tour began at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, where Namita experienced the close-knit campus atmosphere just minutes from the city centre. From there, visits across the North East included Northumbria University in the heart of Newcastle and the coastal University of Sunderland, each offering distinct environments for international learners.
In Lancaster, the University of Cumbria welcomed her with a tour of its student-friendly campus, while at the University of Chester, conversations with leadership focused on navigating today’s international recruitment challenges through collaboration and innovation.
A stop in Wales at Bangor University highlighted a unique heritage-rich setting where the university and town are intertwined, creating a memorable study environment. In Bristol, the University of the West of England Bristol (UWE Bristol) showcased its dynamic campus life, modern facilities and strong support systems for global learners.
Reinforcing long-term collaborations
At the University of Winchester, discussions centred on recent changes designed to further strengthen international student recruitment. Similarly, at De Montfort University in Leicester, Namita explored opportunities to expand engagement across South Asia, particularly India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, reaffirming upGrad GSP’s commitment to connecting diverse student cohorts with UK institutions.
Her visit to Oxford Brookes University underscored how history and modern learning intersect to create a compelling international student experience. Finally, the tour concluded at the University of East London, where reconnecting with the Regional Manager for the East and Southeast Asia regions emphasised the importance of strong institutional champions in driving shared success.
Delivering value to recruitment partners
For recruitment partners worldwide, these on-campus engagements translate directly into better-informed placements, stronger trust in UK institutions and expanded choices for students. By being fully present in our collaborations and seeing the facilities, communities and student experiences ourselves, upGrad GSP equips partners with the insights needed to guide learners towards the right academic and personal fit.
As Namita reflected at the close of her journey:
“This trip was about more than meetings – it was about conversations, connections and seeing first-hand the amazing opportunities our partners provide. Every visit reinforces why the UK continues to be such a powerful destination for international students.”
Looking ahead
upGrad GSP remains committed to its mission of providing transparent, high-quality and diverse study options for students while empowering recruitment partners with the tools and insights they need to succeed.
This UK tour is one example of how we continue to invest in relationships that make international education accessible, trusted and transformative.
